For our new employees we compile individual coaching plans to become familiar with the new task and to get to know the whole company. This will provide you with an insight into our various business fields and put you in a position to use the know-how on the complex internal interaction gained in your future responsibilities. It is a matter of course that you participate in all relevant in-house sales training sessions, too.
Our new colleagues in the fields of trade or publisher relations do an in-house training programme lasting about 6 months which qualifies them to become ‘Junior Account Managers’. In 2-hour lectures in-house MZV experts address 36 topics including KVM (coordinated sales marketing), trade margins, EHASTRA (retail trade structural analysis) IVW (Audit Bureaux of Circulation), and business English. This training is enriched by visits to printers, wholesalers and publishers.
For years we have given successful Junior Account Managers an opportunity to do vocational training and become ‘Experts in Press Distribution’. This certificate class was developed by the VDZ Academy (VDZ – Oranization of German Magazine Publishers) in order to meet the growing demand for highly qualified distribution staff. In a period of two years, candidates participate in 6 bottom-up seminars before they are examined by a board of industry experts. This training scheme has been awarded the VDZ quality seal and is an acknowledged qualification even outside the industry. All our employees have access to a wide range of in-house and external opportunities for further qualification. Each employee has a chance to update the know-how in the field of MS Office as well as in publishing and press specific topics and apply the knowledge gained in the daily tasks.
